Light nature

When was the last time that you really felt at home? Or felt the call from a place or an image that would evoque a supreme sense of belonging? I discovered a long time ago that my home was going to be an ever changing moment. In the most random places I heard the music of being alive, swaying me and slapping me to wake my own humanity.

To be in the moment.. That is the hardest thing. To focus is indispensable, to disconnect and reconnect.

My last trip brought me even closer to the idea of beauty, life and the quiet messages hidden in the simple things. But why the need to fill up the blank spaces? Filling the air with empty words, instead of enjoying the silence with all of its treasured possibilities?

In this pieces, I leave a lot of empty spaces, and let you fill them with what you want to see. I am merely opening the door through some simple shapes.

Mixed media on canvas 50x70cm.

Inspired by the Cornish landscape and the beautiful shade of green seen around Cornwall. This piece has an element of abstract in it and texture in the sky over the hills, where the viewer's mind is inspired to wonder. The tree is what brings it back.

The textured landscape

'The Gathering' - Box canvas 91x61cm. Semi abstract landscape with a palpable mixture of mediums. Here I was trying to capture that silent moment when the clouds are gathering before a storm and sky and sea are ready to sing their song.
