Travelling is a matter of change, courage and imagination. Letting things go and accepting what's put in front of you. Painting landscapes without any other visual reference, feels like getting on a journey carrying a ticket with blank destination.
When I start a new painting and I am welcomed by space and unknown, it's an amazing feeling to take the first step. My hand starts moving and unexpected things happen. Just like life, painting, creating, is about letting those things happen.
At every line you draw, or colour that happen to find its way into your palette, something new appears on the way and you just follow, at times without knowing where you're going.
Textured landscape on large canvas 120x100cm.
The crisp and rumbling sky, when the air is changing and the water and land exude their breathing into the atmosphere. This painting makes me travel with my mind and chase an imaginary train in the distance, pursuing an horizon that will never disappoint.

Mixed media on large canvas 120x100cm
Inspired by the beautiful Cornish seascapes, where the sea meets the unique shade of green. Often, I like to give an abstract tone to my landscapes, with defined lines and bold colours to give a contemporary vibe to a classic scenery.
'People's grain' - Mixed media on box canvas 80x60cm
'The Gathering'
Box canvas 91x61cm. Semi abstract landscape with a palpable mixture of mediums. Here I was trying to capture that silent moment when the clouds are gathering before a storm and sky and sea are ready to sing their song.
Red waves - Mixed media on canvas 50x70cm
Vivid red waves revolving under far yet vigorous clouds. This piece was an absolute joy to paint and it's so satisfying to see those clouds appear under the brush. I wanted to represent all the elements with dramatic tones. I hope you like it.
Mixed media on canvas 50x70cm.
Inspired by the Cornish landscape and the beautiful shade of green seen around Cornwall. This piece has an element of abstract in it and texture in the sky over the hills, where the viewer's mind is inspired to wonder. The tree is what brings it back.
